Group Limit: 8

Skill Level: All skill levels - participants should have a basic knowledge of their camera and exposure settings.

*Activity Level: The shorelines, hills, and trails of the area are wonderfully scenic but they can be treacherous, requiring a moderate level of agility and fitness.

Itinerary: Our 4-day weekend workshop will begin at 3pm on Thursday, at the Conference Room of Roam Inn and will conclude in the same room at 12noon on Sunday. The exact timing of field excursions and classroom sessions will depend on weather conditions.

Overview: Join us for our most adventurous workshop of the year! We will guide a small group of up to 8 photographers through a winter wonderland to a number of very scenic locations. These are can't-miss shooting opportunities! We will explore ice caves and photograph sparkling ice curtains of sapphire, gold, and emerald. We'll capture magnificent frozen waterfalls as well as rushing rivers and icy Lake Superior shorelines. While warming up between excursions, we'll present informal classroom sessions on winter shooting strategies, composition, and post-processing at Roam Inn.

*Non-participating spouses can also attend the workshop for an additional $100 charge.

What to Bring to THIS Workshop

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations require us to re-open enrollment and spend additional resources to promote the event to fill the workshop. Therefore there are no refunds after January 15, 2025. Any cancellation made before January 15, 2025 will result in a tuition refund minus the nonrefundable deposit.

Please note that the entire fee of $995 must be paid by January 15, 2025 to secure your place in the workshop. If the full amount is not received by that date, your enrollment will no longer be held and all payments up to that point will be considered nonrefundable.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if we do not meet our minimum enrollment. (We recommend travel insurance to cover your expenses in case of cancellation.) If the workshop is cancelled for this or any other unforeseen circumstance, you will receive a full refund, deposit included.
